The Jensen JWM9A was discontinued over 6 years ago and replaced by the Jensen RV Stereo w DVD Player # JWM90A. From what I can find, the service kit with the correct replacement remote is also no longer available for the JWM9A.

Basic troubleshooting for a DVD/CD player is to remove power for a few minutes then boot it back up to see if that works. If you still have issues then double check the DVD/CD you're using to make sure it's in good shape and try a different disc to see if that changes anything. If that doesn't then check to make sure your TV and/or speakers are working.
You should also be able to locate a "Reset" button and hold that until the system resets to see if that works.

A lot of this will depend on whether or not your current stereo is a single or double DIN unit; it's tough to go from a double to a single DIN but you can easily go from a single to a double with some slight modifications.

The Plastic Dome Assembly # BVA0502-03 referenced in your question is designed to replace the dome on the Ventline Vanair Roof Vent model VP-543. If this is what is on your Airstream then this replacement dome will work perfectly. There should hopefully be a model/part number printed somewhere on the vent itself that you can look for to verify if this will work.
